06.02.10 -

The 'Chronicles of Napier' website celebrates its first ten years in 2010 - as a result I shall be adding information regarding the remaining six preserved Deltic locomotives during the coming year and re-launching the site thereafter, thus bringing the 'moves' section of the site up to date with the history of the preserved locos since 1982. It is also the intention to add a 'news' section, akin to that which once appeared on the 'Definitive Deltics' website (www.55s.co.uk). I would be grateful, therefore, if anyone could contribute known moves and photos for the years 1982-2010 for inclusion. I shall also be trawling the photo files once used on 'Definitive Deltics' and adding a good selection from the old site. Anyone wishing to contribute should send information or photos to the following address:

04.12.09 -   All existing photo references updated. This has been an on-going project since the summer and each photo reference now has its own page. The example below is taken from D9020's moves for 18th June 1962. Hopefully this is a far simpler version of how they appeared previously and finally opens the way to add more from publications not yet used on the site.
