No.1 bogie 1033 No.2 axle horn cracked and boiler 1493/J2949 tubes blocked due to poor combustion - bogies No.1 1033 replaced by 1017 & No.2 1034 replaced by 1018, No.1 exhaust collector tank inspection door was rejointed and boiler 1493/J2949 was repaired. The body was given a six monthly exam and the following modifications were carried out:- Drawgear; Driver's vacuum brake; Steam gauge pipe. Locomotive mileage was recorded as153,430 miles.
