Just two days prior to its second classified repair D9002 powers through Hatfield with the 1A30 14:00 King's Cross - Edinburgh "The Heart of Midlothian" service on the 28th September 1962. D9002 would become "THE KINGS OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY" at York station on the 4th April 1963.
