Disaster strikes at Berwick as D9000 "ROYAL SCOTS GREY" developed a power unit fire - here the wooden station canopy is in danger as power is applied in the hope of blowing the fire out. 37702 was summoned to rescue the stricken tour. Happily Deltic fans did not have to wait long for D9000's next tour, "The Deltic Reunion", which ran without mishap on the 2nd January 1997.
