Over the weekend of 16th and 17th September 1972 Haymarket's 9021 "ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDER" found itself an exhibit at the Glasgow Eastfield Open day 'Railfair 72'. Here the loco is seen on the 16th September.

20 - Apollo 16 lands on the Moon.

30 - Deep Purple release "Machine Head" album - it forms basis of live act for years to come,
